To be eligible for the British Council Languages Teacher Training Scholarship, you must meet:
1. Their academic requirements:

A 2:1 (or predicted 2:1) in your Bachelor of Honours degree (or equivalent), or

A relevant Master’s degree or PhD (or recognised equivalent).
If you hold a Bachelor’s degree in a subject other than languages, or if you have a 2.2 degree (or predicted 2.2), you can still be considered if you can demonstrate significant proficiency in the target language(s).
2. Language specialization
You should have a background in one of the following languages:
- French
- German
- Spanish
Other languages will be considered if you meet the proficiency requirements.
3. Teacher training placement

You must have secured a place on a non-salaried language teacher training scheme in England for the academic year.
